Job Responsibilities:
- Application Configuration and Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, and software applications to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability on Windows Server.
- System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of IT infrastructure.
- Security and Compliance: Implementing and maintaining security measures, including access controls, firewalls, data backups, and disaster recovery plans, to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- User Support and Training: Providing technical support to end-users, assisting with system-related inquiries, troubleshooting user issues, and conducting user training sessions to enhance system usability and efficiency.
- System Upgrades and Patch Management: Planning and implementing system upgrades, patches, and fixes to address vulnerabilities, improve system performance, and ensure the latest software versions are utilized.
- Documentation and Reporting: Creating and maintaining system documentation, including configuration settings, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and incident reports to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available to relevant stakeholders.
- Capacity Planning and Scalability: Analyzing system performance data, predicting resource needs, and planning for system capacity and scalability to accommodate future growth and changing business requirements.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, database administrators, developers, and IT support staff, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of system components.
Key Skillsets :
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in system administration, proficiency in Windows operatingsystems administration.
- Experience supportingSaaS solutions/vendor applications on on-premise & Cloud.
- Hands-onPL/SQL scripting and database.
- Troubleshootingand Problem-solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues, analyze system logs, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with users, stakeholders, and team members, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Automation and Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g.,PowerShell, Bash, Perl) and automation tools to streamline system administration tasks, automate routine processes, and improve efficiency.
- Project Management: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects, coordinate system upgrades and migrations, and meet project deadlines within established budgets, knowledge ofJIRA/ServiceNow a plus
- Continuous Learning: Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in system administration, and actively seeking opportunities for professional development and knowledge enhancement.
- Willing to work in onsite/offshore delivery model
- Willing to relocate as per requirements.
